Taking Risks
I recently read another quote out of my short story "Strenght For a Man's Heart," and the quote said this: "Progress always involves risk; you can't steal second base and keep your foot on first." This quote is obviously in reference to baseball, but it's also trying to convey a lesson in life. I think risk is ironically a pretty risky line to cross. When does risk cross the line over to stupidity? I believe this quote is correct and everyone should take risks in life to get out of it all they can. But people that take stupid risks that don't have an ultimate successful goal are the ones that cross into stupidity. For example, to risk your life jumping out of an airplane to sky dive...or to risk your life dying for your country instead of being home to protect your indiviual family? What are risks and what is stupidity, and where is the boudary drawn? What's your opinion
